• Black King Bar negates the magical damage from Burning Spears and Life Break.
• Pipe of Insight and Hood of Defiance will both reduce and/or block the damage dealt by Burning Spears and Life Break, which greatly reduces Huskar`s damage output.
• Silver Edge will disable Berserker`s Blood, making it much easier to burst down Huskar while also reducing his damage.
• Heaven`s Halberd shuts down Huskar entirely.

• Counter Helix can damage Huskar a lot due to its pure damage and huskar`s high attack speed increasing the probability of it to happen.

• Ice Blast counters Huskar completely - he can easily go below threshold and cannot heal himself with Inner Vitality. His common partners Dazzle and Oracle will not save him in that situation.

• Probably the strongest counter to Huskar except Ancient Apparition, he has the highest physical burst dps in the game because of his illusions from Phantasm, posing a threat for Huskar in all stages of the game:
  • Huskar has problems dealing with illusion heroes anyway, as he is a single target damage dealer.

• Ursa can fight Huskar for long periods of time without fear of dying, as he tends to build some sort of lifesteal Lifesteal allows the attacking unit to gain health when damaging an enemy, which includes any attack modifier with attack damage. The lifesteal ability can be gained via items, passive abilities or the auras of other . This in conjunction with the damage of Fury Swipes and the damage-reduction of Enrage makes for a high physical DPS threat.

• In the laning phase, Huskar generally excels against most melee hero, as Burning Spears gives him incredibly strong harassing power, especially if he is backed by a support with a heal.

Good against...

• Clockwerk`s abilities cannot handle Huskar in a one-on-one fight, even if he gets the jump on him.

• Earthshaker`s stuns will rarely save him once Huskar has initiated on him with Life Break.
• A full initiation combo will not kill Huskar, only lower his health and increase his attack speed.

• Ember Spirit does minimal damage to Huskar until the very late game.

• Sprout will not protect Nature`s Prophet from Huskar if he has already locked on with Life Break.
• Even a farmed Nature`s Prophet is usually not durable enough to fight Huskar alone.

• Huskar`s increasing magic resistance with each missing health point means Phoenix`s damage-over-time abilities are extremely dampened against him.
• His increasing attack speed as well can easily counteract Fire Spirits, and easily destroy the Supernova.

• Zeus has no mobility skills and his entire arsenal of magic damage is unable to bring Huskar down.

Works well with...

• His spells synergize extremely well with Huskar, making him a near-unstoppable force.
• The magic resistance provided by Berserker`s Blood almost negates completely the damage inflicted by Purifying Flames, making it a ~400 heal on a ~3 second cooldown with no downside.
• Huskar loves to remain as low-life as possible, False Promise will do just that, allowing him to get the full benefit of Berserker`s Blood. Careful not to use it too early or else he won`t have much a
