Trivia
- Cocoa Beans were among the rarest obtainable items on old maps (after golden apples and cookies) as they could only be found in dungeons generated after the 1.4 patch (which is no longer true as of 1.9). Now they can be found on jungle trees, only in a jungle.

- Cocoa plants have a different hitbox for each size, however the top is always .25 blocks below the top of the wood it`s on.
- If a cocoa pod grows while the player is standing next to it, the player will not be pushed out and can move through it.
Natural generation
Cocoa pods can be found on the trunks of normal-sized naturally-generated jungle trees Tree Biome Anywhere in the Overworld where light and dirt are present. Consists of Wood Leaves Vines (large jungle, dying and some fallen trees) Mushroom (some fallen trees) Cocoa (some jungle trees) Can generate post-generation 
. They will not generate on user-grown trees.

on the logs of jungle trees. The cocoa pod has three stages of growth. During its first, the pod is small and green. In the second stage, the pod is bigger and colored tan. In its last stage, the pod is even bigger and orange. When destroyed in the first two stages, the pod will only yield one cocoa bean. When destroyed in the third stage, it will give 2⃢₀ₓ3 cocoa beans. Data values
Cocoa has the ID name minecraft:cocoa, and a data value of 127. It uses its block data field to store the stage of growth, and the direction to which the pod is attached.
