Trivia
- In-game music is cued by the time of day, with a random track being played at sunrise, sunset, noon and midnight.
- Chirp uses the same accompaniment samples as "The Orb of Dreamers" from the LittleBigPlanet series. The samples come from the Optigan disc "Bossa Nova Style". C418 stated that it was coincidental.
- "Calm 3", or "Sweden", is a Passacaglia, with a changing melody over a repeated bass line.
- In Console Edition, the music disc "Cat" includes a second tune at the end, a remix titled "Dog", from Minecraft - Volume Alpha.
- On Apr. Fools` Day 2014, Mojang played a bunch of villager themed pranks on the players, including temporarily replacing the track "Hal 1", or "Subwoofer Lullaby", with a version that had a villager singing along, as well as temporarily replacing all the menu songs with the villagers singing the Game Of Thrones theme song.
- 5 songs in C418`s album "148" (Droopy Remembers, Vierton, Aria Economy, Biome Party, and Beta) are drum and bass remixes of some songs in "Minecraft: Volume Alpha" and "Minecraft: Volume Beta" (Droopy likes ricochet + Droopy likes your face, Dreiton, Aria Math, Biome Fest, and Sweden).
- Hal 3 (Haggstrom) is in septuple time (precisely 7/4 time).

The Overworld, The Nether etc) typically has a few tracks which are unique to that area. Creative Mode also has a few exclusive tracks, as does the main menu.
It is also possible for players to play special music tracks themselves through the use of a Jukebox and . Music DiscsTypes of Music
- In the Overworld, the music is calm and peaceful which creates a sense of harmony.
- In the Nether, the music is dark and sounds evil.
