The returning player experience is a series of special quests See quests which reward gold. For the spell card, see Quest (ability). A quest in Hearthstone refers to a specific action or objective that the player can perform or achieve in order 
and encounters designed to help players who have been away from Hearthstone return to the game.
The experience appears to activate for any account that has been inactive for more than a certain period. The exact period required is not known, but is believed to be around a few months. The first and main component of the experience, the Return of the Hero "There are three challengers who have been waiting for you!" - the innkeeper Return of the Hero is a series of special matches featured as part of the returning player experience, designed to help players

The returning player experience is intended to encourage returning players to successfully start playing the game again.
