When the card was first revealed in The Grand Tournament, most reviewers rated this card as one of the worst cards in the expansion and one of the worst cards in the game. The weapon is simply too slow and too weak when compared to an Assassin`s Blade. While the weapon is being charged, it is extremely vulnerable to weapon removal in the forms of Acidic Swamp Ooze or Harrison Jones.
However, note that any Hero Power will increase the attack of Poisoned Blade, not just Dagger Mastery. In addition, other Hero Powers will activate their primary effects in addition to buffing the weapon. Thus, when playing Poisoned Blade, Sir Finley Mrrgglton is a great card to play as it gives your Hero Power some purpose.
