Strategy

Due to the random nature of its effect, Mind Vision will often provide you with a card that does not fit into your hand/strategy at all. Sometimes it will even give you a card, that is entirely unusable for Priest like Deadly Poison. Even though Thoughtsteal suffers from the same problem, it will still provide you with card advantage against control decks, it is therefore the prefered option.

Mind Vision can be an effective card to play on turn 1, as your opponent is likely to have kept low-cost spells or minions which you can then take advantage of.
