While this minion initially has very low stats, it can be a significant early-game threat when used in conjunction with low-cost buff cards, such as Cold Blood or Blessing of Might. Divine Shield gives this minion an excellent chance to 2 for 1. Even without buffs, an Argent Squire can trade for a 3/2 if no other option for divine shield removal is available to the opponent.
Due to its low cost, an Argent Squire is one of the best minions to play in a Blood Knight offensive battle cry combo, granting +3/+3 to the Blood Knight for only the cost of one mana.
