Reason given: The shop should get its own page Discussion to support or oppose the split should be , the pair acts like two complimentary heroes that can be played a number of ways: with Lone Druid providing buffs from the back while the Spirit Bear fights on the front lines, or with Lone Druid attacking from long range while the Spirit Bear scouts and split pushes. This arrangement allows the Lone Druid to stay on the fringes of conflict, thus risking his own life less than most other carries. Be that as it may, if the Spirit Bear falls in battle, the Lone Druid himself becomes significantly less effective. Because of the micro-management needed to control the Spirit Bear, Lone Druid can be a daunting hero for newer players. | |

Spirit Bear Brawler
This way to play Lone Druid is less common now due to the talent tree system making the hero far stronger than the bear. This build focuses on getting items on his Spirit Bear. This gives the bear the tankiness and damage to sustain itself in the middle of fights, while the Lone Druid mostly supports from behind with buffs. Attack Speed Carry
An older, less common way to play Lone Druid was to maximize attack speed and damage on Lone Druid himself, and emphasized fighting from a distance in his normal form instead of True Form. This synergized well with Lone Druid`s buffs, as well as Spirit Bear`s Entangle, which locks down enemies for him to hit with his ranged attacks.
Due to talent system, this build is now very viable. Lone Druid gains a +175 range in his level 10 Talent tree (also he has a +55 damage at level 15), making him a very formidable range attacker. Adding this with Dragon Lance (later upgraded to Hurricane Pike if possible), he can have 865 attack range, allowing him to out-range towers. Build a Mjollnir afterwards for even higher attack speed (combined with Rabid) and long-range Chain Lightning. Because his attack range is very long, you can forgo his survivability and focus on his damage or attack speed. Use Spirit Bear only for entangling enemy, and focus fire him with your absurd attack range. You can even forgo summoning the Bear (because all the items you buy go to the Druid) to prevent it dying a lot and giving your enemies gold; rely on your teammates to secure your focus fired target.
