Like a hero, the courier possesses 6 inventory slots and 3 backpack slots. Be that as it may, it has restrictions. Abilities affecting couriers

A couple of spells affect the courier the same ways as they do spell immune units. Positive auras with bonus health regeneration or armor work as well. Movement speed bonuses are ignored because the Animal Courier is set to fixed 350:

General

An Animal Courier (also known simply as a Courier) is used to deliver items to players on the field of battle. The Animal Courier can be upgraded into a Flying Courier to deliver items faster. It is recommended to have only one courier, as having multiple couriers increases the chances of one getting killed, feeding gold to the enemy, and spreading confusion among team mates.
The courier cannot use most items, but it can use a select few listed here.

The Animal Courier has a 2 minute stock time after being purchased.

If killed, 150 gold will be awarded to all enemy players. It respawns at the fountain after 120 seconds, and any items it was carrying will be inaccessible until then. Any additional couriers killed during the first kill`s respawn time will only award 150 gold to the killer.
The courier is invulnerable at the allied fountain. When carrying a Bottle that isn`t full, the courier is slowed by 30% to 245 movespeed.
